PR No. 85 Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada calls on Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Islamabad: 13th September 2017

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Ali Alizada paid courtesy call on Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Engr. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman at his office on Wednesday.

 

            The Federal Minister welcomed the Ambassador of Azerbaijan and said that Azerbaijan and Pakistan are brotherly countries and enjoying good relations.

 

            The Federal Minister said that he went twice Azerbaijan and got great love and affection from every one there.

 

            The Federal Minister said that he has very good memories of spending time with Azerbaijan Education Minister, Deputy Education Minister and other notables during visit to the country.

 

            Baligh Ur Rehman said that Pakistan always supported Azerbaijan on major issues especially Nagorno-Karabakh. The Ambassador of Azerbaijan said that Azerbaijan gives special importance to its ties with Pakistan.

 

            We are enjoying cordial relations with Pakistan and hoped these relations will boost in future, the ambassador said. Azerbaijan has simplified visa system for Pakistanis as during last 8 months great number of Pakistanis visited Azerbaijan, he said.

 

            Ambassador Ali Alizada said Azerbaijan always extended support to Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir.  During the meeting, upcoming election for the post of Director-General of UNESCO also came under discussion.

 

            The Ambassador of Azerbaijan told the Federal Minister about the candidate of Azerbaijan for the post of Director General of UNESCO Mr. Polad Bulbuloglu, former Minister of Culture and current Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Russian Federation. 

 

            The Federal Minister said that credentials of Azerbaijan candidate Polad Bulbuloglu are incredible. The Federal Minister appreciated the visit of Azerbaijan ambassador and conveyed his compliments to his Azerbaijan counterpart and said good luck in upcoming election for the seat of Director General of UNESCO./
