PR No. 161 CPEC Photo exhibition held Islamabad

A photo exhibition and storytelling session “Discovering a lost paradise along China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,” was held at the Tsinghua University in Beijing on 19th May, says a press release received here today from Beijing, China.

The prominent participants included Ambassador of Pakistan to China Masood Khalid, the Vice Chairperson of Tsinghua University Council Han Jingyang, Liu Binjie the Director of Education,Science, Culture and Health Committee of the National People’s Congress, Chairman CITIC foundation Kong Dan, President of China Pakistan Friendship Association Sha Zukang, Senator Mushahid Hussain and Li Xiguang the Director of Pakistan Culture and Communication Center at Tsinghua.

Ambassador Masood Khalid visited the photo gallery and appreciated the photographs displayed, that were taken by Prof. Li Xiguang, Mr Liang Xiaoxin, and Mr Wu Yidi during their recent visit to Pakistan along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.  Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he described the exhibits as a reflection of everlasting impression of friendship and bondage with the people and places of Pakistan. He said that the travelogues of Fa Xian,Song Yun, and Xuan Zang who traversed between the lands of China and Pakistan in ancient times had created renewed awareness of Gandhara civilization and of the links between China and Pakistan. He said that the rich and colorful cultural tapestry of Pakistan for centuries had been a melting pot of races, cultures and belief systems, drawing many towards it.

Senator Mushahid Hussain also shared his longstanding association with China and his experiences of various trips arranged from Pakistan to China to revive the spirit of Chinese monks and envoys who traveled across from China to these paths in olden days.
