Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain called on Mr. Dato Seri Hishamuddin Run Hussain, defence Minister, Malaysia. Federal Minister thanked the host for the invitation and appreciated the excellent arrangements including hospitality. Both the sides discussed the historic and cordial nature of Pak-Malaysia diplomatic ties and were of the view that owing to the unprecedented challenges posed by the complex geo-strategic environment both sides must join hands to evolve a collaborative way forward.

Both the sides agreed that collaboration in defence industrial field is a key to evolve economic and cost effective solutions for our defence and security imperatives. There was a consensus to take concrete steps for common objectives to further foster bilateral ties between both the countries. Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain reiterated Pakistan’s support for Malaysia.

Mr. Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Governor Sarawak state, General Tan Sri Raja Muhammad Afindi, Malaysian Cheif of Defence Forces and Commodore Arshad JS(FC) Ministry of Defence Production were also present in the call on.
