PR No.290 2nd Round Of Bilateral Political Consultations Between Pakistan And Bulgaria Islamabad

The Second Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Bulgaria was held in Islamabad on 31st March, 2016. Mr. Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui, Additional Secretary (Europe) led the Pakistan side while Mr. Borislav Kostov, Director General (Bilateral Relations) Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed the Bulgarian delegation.

During the consultations, the sides reviewed all areas of bilateral cooperation and looked into different possibilities of enhancing cooperation in various fields including political, economic, cultural, agricultural and educational.

Both sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest and matters pertaining to cooperation at multilateral forums including different candidatures.

The two sides agreed to hold next round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Bulgaria on the mutually convenient dates in 2017.
