PR No.256 Meeting Reviews Progress On Upcoming Spectrum Auction Islamabad: March 28, 2016

Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Monday chaired a meeting to review current status and progress of the next 4 – G Spectrum Auction for 10 MHz.

Minister of State for IT, Anusha Rahman Khan and Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Syed Ismail Shah briefed the meeting on the progress regarding the upcoming spectrum auction. The meeting noted the progress made on implementation framework being developed by Ministry of IT and PTA.

The Finance Minister directed to ensure complete transparency while concluding spectrum auction processes.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Law, Mr. Ashtar Ausaf, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on HRD, Barrister Zafarullah Khan, Secretary IT and Chairman PTA attended the meeting.
