PR No.252 Saudi Ambassador Expresses Grief And Sorrow Over Lahore Tragedy Islamabad: March 28, 2016

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Abdullah Marzouk Al Zahrani called on Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Monday.

The Saudi Ambassador expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow over the tragedy that befell Lahore Sunday evening, leading to loss of numerous precious lives and injuries to others.

He conveyed to the Finance Minister deep sentiments of sympathy and compassion from the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia for the leadership and people of Pakistan as well as the bereaved families. He said Saudi Arabia stands by Pakistan in this hour of grief.

Minister Dar on the occasion said that Pakistan has always received support and cooperation from Saudi Arabia in all matters of national and international significance. He thanked the Saudi Ambassador for the kind sentiments and said the incident in Lahore would not in any way dampen the courage and spirit of Pakistani nation in fighting the scourge of terrorism. H.E. Abdullah Marzouk Al Zahrani said that Saudi Arabia fully supported Pakistan’s efforts in eliminating militancy and extremism.
