PR No.121 Ambassador Of The Argentine Calls On The Prime Minister Islamabad: March 15, 2016

Outgoing Ambassador of Argentina H.E Mr. Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House today.

Felicitating the Ambassador of Argentina on completion of 12 years stay in Pakistan, the Prime Minister appreciated the Ambassador’s contribution in strengthening and further broadening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Argentina.

Mr. Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia greatly admired the Prime Minister’s courageous decision of taking the terrorists head on saying that the ongoing military operation Zarb E Azb is the best thing happening to Pakistan. This operation has proven to be exceedingly successful in eliminating terrorism from the country, said the Ambassador.

Appreciating the economic policies of the present government, the Ambassador said that the Prime Minister has put the country on the right path by turning around its economy. Pakistan’s perception has been changing in the last three years and the country is now viewed quite positively the world over, added Mr. Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia. He also appreciated the Prime Minister’s vision of eliminating energy deficiency from Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has all the potential and talent to overcome the challenges and his government is committed to steering the country towards claiming its due place amongst the developed nations. No country or nation can succeed without achieving economic stability, and no such stability is possible if terrorists are allowed to continue with their anti-peace and anti-Pakistan agenda, underlined the Prime Minister.

The Ambassador praised the Prime Minister on taking progressive stance on issues pertaining to women and minorities and lauded the measures taken by the present government to protect them against unjust and discriminatory outlook.

Our vision of transforming Pakistan into a modern and developed state, as envisioned by the founding father of the nation, cannot be realized if about half of population (consisting of women) is ignored. Women’s role in the country’s progress is as crucial as that of men. Minorities belonging to any religion and faith are equal citizen of Pakistan and enjoy rights at par with their countrymen, emphasized the Prime Minister.

The meeting was also attended by Tariq Fatemi, SAPM and other senior government officials.
