PR No.112 Quaid-E-Azam Inter-Provincial Games-2016 In Sports Complex From April 5 To 8 Federal Minister Riaz Husain Pirzada Says Quaid-E-Azam Inter-Provincial Games-2016 Will Be Held In Befitting Manner Islamabad: March 15, 2016

Quaid-e-Azam Inter-provincial Games-2016 will be held at the Sports Complex from April 5 to 8.

This was decided in the meeting of the Steering Committee of Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games-2016 chaired by Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC), Mian Riaz Husain Pirzada here in Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Addressing the meeting, Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC), Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada said that Quaid-e-Azam Inter-provincial Games-2016 will be held in befitting manner and our image improves internationally.

The meeting discussed arrangements regarding holding of Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games-2016 besides reviewing security arrangements during the Games. The meeting was told that adequate security arrangements will be made during Quaid-e-Azam Inter-provincial Games.

The Federal Minister said that Quaid-e-Azam Inter-provincial Games will be of international standard and these will be well organized.

He asked provinces, Ministry of Interior, Capital Development Authority (CDA), PNCA and other relevant departments of the government to fully cooperate for holding these games successfully.

It may be noted that in current fiscal year 2015-16, the government has allocated Rs 137 million for holding these Games.

Competitions in athletics, badminton, boxing, football, hockey , judo, karate, squash, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball and wrestling will be organized during the Games.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Captain (Retd) Muhammad Ali Gardezi, Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Dr Akhtar Nawaz Genjera, and officials from Ministry of Interior, Capital Development Authority, PNCA , CADD and others.
