Federal Minister Planning, Development & Reform Ahsan Iqbl today said that Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform will be made ideal workplace for women so that they can contribute effectively in national development. He also directed to setup Day Care Centre at the ministry to facilitate the working mothers. He issued instructions to constitute a committee to immediately work for setting up of this centre. Ahsan Iqbal was speaking at cake cutting ceremony at the ministry to mark International Women Day. Ahsan Iqbal appreciated the role of women in various spheres of life and said that government has taken many initiatives for women empowerment in the country. Ahsan Iqbal said that national development goals can be achieved only through active participation of women in the development discourse.
