President Mamnoon Hussain has said that National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is rendering commendable services by imparting technical skills to the youth in order to raise their social and economic profile and enable them to play their role in the national development.

The President said this while talking to Executive Director NAVTTC, Mr. Zulfiqar Cheema, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Wednesday.

The President said that the government is committed to build the capacity of the youth through various skill development programmes enabling them to get different vocational and technical jobs thereby reducing unemployment in the country. The President asked the ED NAVTTC to establish linkages among various stakeholders at the national as well as international level in order to make the technical programmes more effective.

Mr. Zulfiqar Cheema apprised the President about various ongoing skill development programmes and other initiatives being taken by NAVTTC.
