Polish Ambassador in Pakistan Piotr Opalinski paid visit to Thalassemia Centre of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal at Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad. Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh briefed the respectable guest about the ongoing core social welfare projects of the organization. Polish Ambassador admired the impressive medical facilities being provided to the deserving thalassemia patients in the Centre. Appreciating Pakistan Bait?ul?Mal (PBM) for providing basic amenities to the neglected segment of society he vowed to extend humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people of the country on the platform of PBM. MD PBM thanked Polish Ambassador for his visit and showing willingness to support the poor people. Barrister Abid Waheed on this occasion said that the purpose of inviting diplomats at Pakistan Thalassemia Centre was to enhance awareness about the prevention and eradication of fatal disease.

Main objective of Centre was to increase life expectancy and improvement in the quality of life for those inflicted by this daunting disease and provide a ray of hope amidst miseries of the children with neglected backgrounds, orphans and less privileged who cannot afford the cost for the treatment of this serious disease.” He added.

Polish Ambassador also met with the patients under treatment there and inquired about their health.
