President Mamnoon Hussain has said that education is the key element in the progress of nations and called for concerted efforts to improve the standard of education.

The President said this while talking to Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Azam University, Prof Dr. Javed Ashraf, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Thursday.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that Quaid-e-Azam University is a prestigious institution and asked the Vice Chancellor to take the university to new heights of academic excellence and discipline adding that the university will have his full support in completion of the on-going development projects and in meeting its financial needs.

The Vice Chancellor apprised the President of steps being taken by him for improving the academic standards and to financially stabilize the university. The Vice Chancellor thanked the President for his keen interest and support to achieve the desired goals.
