He said that education and peace are the keys to the development of any society. Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi has said that the People's Party has always worked to bring the tribal districts (former FATA) into the national mainstream of the country through development and progress in all spheres of life. He expressed these views while addressing a seminar organized on ‘peace and development’ which was organized by PPP chapter of Kurram in which a large number of people including scholars of all schools of thought, tribal elders, political and social activists and local government elected representatives participated. Sajid Hussain Turi appreciated workers and officials of PPP for organising seminar on a very important topic. He said that progress of any country and area is not possible without peace and harmony. Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi said that the tribal districts are rich in natural beauty and minerals and are of geographical importance, which the People's Party has always acknowledged. He said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had visited tribal areas as Prime Ministers and had opened schools, colleges and hospitals here. Sajid Hussain Turi said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had sent thousands of people from tribal areas to Arab countries for employment who played an important role in country foreign exchange. Sajid Hussain Turi urged the tribal elders, elected representatives and political and social workers to play their role for the promotion of peace and harmony. He said that since he assumed the duties of the federal minister, six hundred and sixty five thousand people were send to various countries for employment and this year another million people will be sent for employment in different countries. Federal Minister Sajid Turi said that negotiation are ongoing with various countries to create more and maximum employment opportunities for more Pakistani youth and skilled workers abroad. He said that his first priority is to promote trade, mining, industries and tourism in Kurram Valley so that poverty can be eradicated and the people can prosper. He said on the occasion that the workers working in mines and other industries in the tribal districts are being registered in EOBI so that they can take full advantage of workers welfare fund and it’s hospitals, schools and other benefits. Federal Minister Sajid Turi said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had directed to pay special attention to the welfare of workers and overseas Pakistanis and their children's education and to solve their problems on top priority. He said that hundreds of Pakistanis imprisoned in the prisons of various countries have been released with his personal efforts while Ministry is trying regarding the release of another 31 hundred prisoners and those who are deported from the UAE. Sajid Turi said that along with the construction of a standard road through Kharlachi and Ghulam Khan, a railway track is being laid for easy access to Central Asia, for which a hub will be built at Tall. He said that NADRA offices have been established in Alizai, Bagan and Dogar of Kurram district while another NADRA office is being opened in Sameer and Upper Kurram and more offices of Benazir Income Support Program are also being established at various places. Hr emphasized on taking full participation from the people in the census which will be started in a few days and said that basic facilities are provided to the areas only on the basis of the census. Tehsil Chairman Allama Muzmal Hussain, Maulana Shah Nawaz, Maulana Munir Hussain and other speakers also addressed the event and in their speeches emphasized on peace and said that we should all play our part for the development of the region with unity and consensus. Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi also visited different villages of Kurram where he met the people and heard their problems. At end, the Federal Minister visited Sadda Hospital where he inspected various departments and wards. He said that TB ward and modern expert laboratory will be established in Sada Hospital for the timely and speedy treatment of patients.
