PR No. 214 Export Sector Needs Innovation In Product Development: Ahsan Iqbal Islamabad

Federal Minister Planning, Development & Reform Ahsan Iqbal today said that Pakistan’s export sector needs innovation in product development and marketing strategy to gain competitiveness in the international market.

He stated this while talking to a delegation of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), which called on him at Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform. The delegation was led by chamber’s president Muhammad Nawaz.

FCCI’s delegation extended the invitation to Federal Minister Planning, Development & Reform to visit the chamber, which minister cordially accepted. Ahsan Iqbal said that federal government is committed to facilitate trade and industry by providing conducive environment. Pakistan needs quantum jump in its export for sustainable economic growth, which can be achieved through productive innovation and development.

Minister said that government is determined to resolve the issues of trade & industry because private sector is the engine of growth. Minister also talked about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which aimed at turning the country into a trade and manufacturing hub in the region.
