Federal Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yusuf has chaired a meeting today in Islamabad. The objective of the meeting was to ascertain consensus of participants over the adoption of standard copy of Quran and use of standard paper for sacred book holy Quran. Minister underscored the importance of error free Quranic verses and stressed the need for preservation of old pages of such sacred material of holy Quran. Minister said, it is our joint responsibility of all segments of society to reach consensus swiftly over this sacred cause.

Government will also play its part and provide full support to build recycling plants, but active support of religious scholars will also be required to achieve this objective, he urged. He also assured that representative of provincial Quran board will be provided with rectified copies of Quran for their perusal enabling them to choose their representative for next meeting, in order to finalize the standard pattern of Quran with their valued consultation.
