PR No.175 HAJJ QUOTA FOR PAKISTANI PILGRIMS INCREASED FOR 2017 HAJJ Jeddah: January 19, 2017

179,210 people from Pakistan will perform Hajj in 2017. Hajj quota for Pakistani pilgrims has been increased this year. This was decided in an official meeting held between Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammad Salih Bin Taher Bentin in Jeddah today. A formal agreement to this effect will be signed later. The meeting was also attended by Secretary Religious Affairs Mr. Mr. Khalid Masood Chaudhry, Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia Mr. Manzoor-ul-Haq and DG Hajj Dr. Syed Sajid Yousafani.

Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf is in Saudi Arabia, to finalize the Hajj arrangements and other matters relating to the Hajj-2017.

While talking to his Saudi counterpart, Sardar Yousaf said that arrangements of 2016 were excellent and we congratulate Custodian of the two holy Mosques Kin Salman bin Abdul Aziz for successful Hajj operations in 2016. He also thanked the Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah for his support in increasing the Hajj quota for Pakistani Hujjaj.

On this occasion while talking to the Pakistan’s delegation Dr. Saleh said that Pakistani hajj office played an important part in Hajj preparations with their Saudi counterparts and we are proud of them. He also congratulated the Pakistan’s Hajj authorities for making efforts for making Hajj operation a success and providing excellent services to Hujjaj in Hajj 2016.
