PR No. 115 ICT R&D Fund Board Has Accepted The Resignation Of CEO. Islamabad

ICT R&D Fund Board accepted the resignation of CEO in its 43rd Board of Directors meeting. This meeting was held here in MoIT today under the chairpersonship of Minister of State for IT & Telecom Mrs. Anusha Rehman. Federal Secretary IT Mr. Azmat Ali Ranjha, Chairman PTA Dr. Ismail Shah, CEO ICT R&D fund Syed Muhammad Asif Rumi, Member Telecom Mr. Mudassar Hussain, Member HR Tahir Mushtaq and other board members were also present in the meeting.

Mr. Asif Rumi has joined this ICT R&D Fund Company as CEO in January, 2015. He served this company for almost one year and last month, he tendered his resignation through proper channel due to his personal career pursuits.

Board after due considerations about the state of affairs of important current and future business of the company accepted his resignation. The board directed the launch of fully transparent advertisement process for hiring a new CEO. Chairman PTA Syed Ismail Shah will hold charge of CEO of the Company for the interim period, as per consensus of the board members.

Mrs. Anusha Rehman appreciated the services of the outgoing CEO which he has rendered dedicatedly during last one year.

While speaking at the occasion, Mr. Asif Rumi said that it was a wonderful experience of his career to work as CEO of ICT R&D Fund Company under a comprehensive advice and guidance of the chairperson and the board and this one year experience would surely help him a lot on many counts in his career ahead.
