PR No.138 MOS ENGR MUHAMMAD BALIGH UR REHMAN ATTENDED THE 9TH IPEMC (INTER PROVINCIAL EDUCATION MINISTER’S CONFERENCE) AS A CHAIRMAN OF IPEMC TODAY Islamabad: January 17, 2017.

National Minimum Standards of Quality Education has been approved and formally launched in 9thIPEMC. Minister of State admired the efforts of all the provincial education ministries and education departments and said that the national indicators of education (literacy rate, adjusted net enrollment rate, quality education etc) have been improved over the year.

All the provinces and departments gave their detailed presentation on their success stories, progress and innovative initiatives taken over the previous year. Provinces made a resolve to allocate at least 25% of their total budget to education in this year and they would make an extra effort to improve non formal education sector in their respective areas by reaching out to out of school children.

Next IPEMC will be held in KPK, in which three reports/policies would be launched. Report on Final Draft of National Education Policy 2017, Report on National Textbooks and Learning Material Policy, and Assessment of Examination Systems and their Reforms would be launched in next ipemc. Moreover agenda of next ipemc includes; private schools and their regulation system, non formal education and literacy, and mainstreaming of deeni madaris.

Conference was attended by Atif Khan Education Minister KPK,  Ziaratwal Education Minister Baluchistan, Ibrahim Sanai Education Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Federal Secretary Education Haseeb Athar, JEA Rafiq Tahir, all the provincial education secretaries, Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar and other officials of education departments all over the country.
