Mr.Muhammad Ayub Afridi, Advisor to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) has spent a busy day today the 3" December, 2021 as he held meetings with diferent dignitaries on various issues particularly concerning matters of overseas Pakistanis. Mr.Asad Qaiser, Speaker of the National Assembly met Mr.Muhammad Ayub Afridi in his office and congratulated him on assuming office of the Advisor to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development. The Honourable Speaker hoped that issues of overseas Pakistanis will be addressed effectively under his leadership. Earlier today, The Advisor held meeting with Mr Afzal Mahmood, Ambassador of Pakistan to UAE, which was attended by Mr. Ishrat Al, Secretary, OP&HRD. The Advisor to PM on OP&HRD emphasized to streamline sending of Remittances by Pakistanis working in UAE, increase export of manpower to UAE after lifting of ban on visas and addressing issues of Pakistani community there. The Advisor also directed to task CWAs to work more devotedly for increasing manpower export and address problems of overseas Pakistanis particularly pursing court cases pending in UAE courts. The Ambassador of Pakistan to UAE assured the Advisor to PM on OP&HRD of all out efforts to address all issues discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador also informed the Advisor about regular Khuli Ketheris being held by him for Pakistani community in UAE regularly. The Advisor has shown his keenness to join virtually such events to directly interact with overseas Pakistani community. Pak-China Overseas Delegation headed by Mr.Shaukat Ali Safi also met and congratulated the Advisor on PM on OPHRD on his appointment and discussed issues relating to return of Pakistani Students who are stuck in Pakistan after Covid-19 restrictions.
