Certificate distribution ceremony of “Training of Trainer” (Master trainer) for promotion of Fish Cage Culture was organized on 21st October 2021 at Rawal Town Fish Hatchery, Islamabad by the Fisheries Development Board (FDB). Fisheries Development Board under Ministry of National Food Security and Research, Government of Pakistan hold a 10 days “Training of Trainer” program for 30 people under Cage Culture Cluster Development Project funded by Prime Minister National Agriculture Emergency Program held from 11th to 20th October 2021, Islamabad. Dr. Safia Mushtaq is the Project Manager. The training participants were the Fisheries Officers from all over Pakistan including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan. Mr. Muhammad Junaid Wattoo, Chief Executive Officer, Fisheries Development Board was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, and he briefed about the aims and objectives of training program. He told the participants that, it was the second program to developed Master Trainers who will impart trainings to 1200 fish farmers, entrepreneurs, hatchery operators, investors of aquaculture and general workers to develop labor force for aquaculture enterprises. The training covered an orientation session, course standardization, introduction to modern delivery methods and demonstration at farms to boost the blue economy in the country. While Mr. Noor Ellahi and Dr. Abdul Rab served as “Super Trainers” and delivered their lectures during the training and orientation sessions. All participants from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP and GB actively participated in the program and found it as a good platform for the learning and exchange of ideas. While Ms. Madeeha Achakzai, Chief Finance Officer, FDB, Mr. Maratab Ali Awan, Mr. Tanveer Zaman, Project Managers, Dr. Naveed Ahmed Abro and Syed. Adeel Hassan, Assistant Directors and Mr. Saad Ishtiaq, Admin and Accounts Officer, Cage Culture Cluster Development Project were present at the event. At the end Mr. Muhammad Junaid Wattoo, CEO, FDB distributed the certificates amongst the participants and pay thanks to them for participation.
