Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day was observed at the Pakistan High Commission, Dhaka, today with a national spirit and enthusiasm, says a press release received here today from Dhaka.

A ceremony was held at the High Commission, where a large number of Pakistani community participated with great fervour.

High Commissioner, Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui, hoisted the flag of Pakistan at the Chancery and messages of the President and Prime Minister were read out by the High Commissioner and the Deputy High Commissioner respectively.

Addressing the ceremony, the High Commissioner felicitated the fellow Pakistanis on the auspicious occasion of 70th Independence Day of Pakistan. He emphasized the need for following the golden principles of Faith, Unity and Discipline laid down by the Father of the Nation, the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to make our dear homeland a model for the whole world.
