Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar who was assigned the additional Charge of Chairperson National Commission on Status of Women last week, visited the office of the commission and received a detailed briefing on the role and ongoing initiatives of the commission.

All officers of the commission and former chairperson of the National Commission on Status of Women Mumtaz Khawar were present on the occasion.

The Minister expressed her commitment to take forward the cause uphold by the Commission and work delicately towards realization of its objectives.

She expressed that collaborative initiatives which are ongoing including that with National Institute of Population Studies will be implemented and completed speedily.
