First Lady Mrs Samina Alvi has said that the government has launched Ehsas and Kamyab Jawan programmes to help low income people and jobless youth. She was addressing the opening ceremony of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Services at Children Hospital Multan today. She said that the State Bank of Pakistan is extending soft loans for women entrepreneurs but a limited number is applying for such loan facility.She maintained that women should avail such facilities of loans and contribute in the income of their family and country’s development. She urged philanthropists and well to do people to come forward and serve humanity.Mrs Samina Alvi said that government departments should facilitate those who want to contribute in various welfare projects. She applauded the services of social organization "Taray Zameen Per" who contributed in establishing Cardiac surgery services at Children Hospital Multan. She assured that the government will provide maximum assistance to the Children hospital Multan for extending the latest treatment facilities in the hospital. With the establishment of a Cardiac surgery facility for the infants, Children Hospital Multan has now become the second hospital in Punjab which is extending this type of surgery facility to the infants. Later, Mrs. Samina Alvi visited Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital Multan. Chief Operating Officer briefed the First Lady on the development and various projects of the hospital. On this occasion, Mrs. Alvi stressed on the importance of providing swift medical care to breast cancer patients and differently abled people. She said that Government is taking steps to provide Sehat Sahulat Card to every citizen of the country. Providing quality health services to Pakistanis is priority of the current government, she stated. Mrs. Alvi also visited Dar-ul-sakoon community center where the children presented a tableau in connection with Defence Day.
