President Mamnoon Hussain has said that abundant opportunities exist between Pakistan and Bulgaria for promotion of bilateral relations in trade and culture areas and called for taking benefit from these opportunities.

The President said this while talking to Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Bulgaria, Mr. A.S. Babar Hashmi, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Tuesday.

The President asked the ambassador-designate to play an effective role in this regard and apprise the Bulgarian traders about investment opportunities in Pakistan and facilities being extended by the government to this end. The President asked the ambassador-designate to convince Bulgarian entrepreneurs for joint ventures in generation of electricity from coal and in textile sector.

President Mamnoon Hussain asked the ambassador-designate that there is a scope for enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries and in this regard exchange of cultural delegations between Pakistan and Bulgaria could be effective to promote the image of Pakistan as a progressive country.
