The Chairman OPF Board of Governors Barrister Amjad Malik welcomed Minister of State for Water and Power, Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali (MNA) at the HQ. The meeting was also attended by Managing Director of the OPF Habib ur Rehman Gilani.

The Chairman informed the honourable Minister about the progress of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation and number of new initiatives for welfare of expatriates and their dependents including provision of financial assistance of PKR 800 million under its social welfare program, provision of ambulance service for 672 dead bodies transport this year, launching of twenty four hours toll free helpline, provision of financial assistance in case of death/disability within one month. Further, The Chairman highlighted the creation of eight airport desks for the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis.

The Chairman also discussed the water and power issues faced by OPF housing scheme of the OPF. The Minister assured provision of water and power for the housing scheme. Further, the Minister appreciated the services of the OPF team under the leadership of the Chairman Barrister Amjad Malik and hoped that OPF will continue to provide efficient services to 8 million overseas Pakistanis. He assured his full support to OPF.
