President Mamnoon Hussain has said that there is a need for new laws for improving the situation in tribal areas of Pakistan adding that the government would soon introduce new laws in this regard which would produce positive results.

The President said this while addressing a gathering of students of Islamia College University Peshawar and Islamia College Lahore at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Wednesday. The event was held as part of the commemoration of the Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary.

The President stated that robust economic activities would be generated after the operationalization of Economic Corridor and new opportunities of employment would be available and the youth should start preparing themselves in order to take advantage from these opportunities. The President said that the current educational curriculum is not up to the requirements of the modern age and work is underway for introducing reforms in it. He added that soon new educational reforms would be introduced.

The President said that in order to earn our place in the comity of nations we need the passion of Pakistan Movement once again so that we could strengthen our economic infrastructure by eliminating corruption from our country. “Youth can play the most effective role in jihad against corruption”, remarked the President.

President Mamnoon Hussain stated that the development projects initiated by the present government would change the fate of the country and the new generation should collectively strive to make these national projects successful because Pakistan’s progress and prosperity is dependent on these projects. The President said that Islamia College Peshawar, Islamia College Lahore, Aligarh University and Sindh Madressatul Islam have an important role in the Pakistan Movement adding that this movement has not ended and is still continuing for achieving national stability adding that through this movement corruption is to be eradicated from the society.

The President called upon the students to focus on their education and afterwards fulfill their responsibilities with hard work and honesty because this is the way to change the fate of the country.

Mr. Ajmal Khan, Vice Chancellor Islamia College Peshawar and Professor Tahir Javaid, Principal Islamia College Lahore presented rare photographs and books to President Mamnoon Hussain. Two students Mr. Mohsin Khan and Ms. Tayyaba Javed also delivered speeches on the occasion.
