Pakistan Day Celebrated in Tehran
Islamabad: March 23, 2021

A ceremony to mark the National Day was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran today. Due to Covid-19 pandemic related restrictions, only a limited number of Embassy staff attended the simple ceremony, says a press release received here today from Tehran. The ceremony commenced with playing of the National Anthem & hoisting of the Pakistan Flag. It was followed by reading out of National Day Messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The messages paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation and all the leaders of the Independence Movement who united Muslims of sub-continent and struggled for creation of a free and independent Muslim State. They also reiterated the commitment to make Pakistan a just, prosperous, strong, tolerant and democratic country. The messages condemned the continued subjugation of the people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir who have been subjected to worst form of state oppression by Indian security forces. They resolved to continue to morally, politically and diplomatically support the Kashmiris for realization of their right to self-determination under relevant UNSC Resolutions. In the end a prayer was said for the continued well-being, prosperity and success of Pakistan and Pakistanis all over the world.
