BRIEFING OF SECRETARY MNC’S & VISIT TO ANF HQS, RAWALPINDI

The Secretary, Ministry of Narcotics Control, Akbar Durrani, (TI)/PAS, visited the Anti Narcotics Force HQs on Thursday, 4th March, 2021. Upon arrival, he was received by the Director General, ANF, Maj. Gen. Muhammad Arif Malik, HI (M) and other senior officers of ANF. After one-on-one meeting with the Director General, ANF, the Secretary, MNC, visited various parts of the Headquarters as the DG briefed him along. He took particular interest in the Display Room at ANF HQs which reflects the history of ANF since the organization’s inception in 1995. In the Conference Room, the Secretary, MNC, was given a comprehensive briefing about the role, functions and achievements of ANF along with the challenges being faced by the Force. The briefing was given by Brig. Jehanzeb Akhtar, Director (Enforcement). In his remarks after the briefing, the Secretary, MNC, expressed his appreciation to the DG and other officers of ANF upon effectively carrying out the vital task of narcotics interdiction all across the country. He also paid rich tribute to the ultimate sacrifice of ANF’s 21 martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Further, he assured the ANF’s command about the Ministry’s support in resolving the challenges being faced by the Force. The Secretary, MNC, then, on the basis of his vast and diverse experience, advised the present officers at ANF HQs about the significance of timeliness of initiating the cases related to budgetary allocation for the next financial year. After the briefing, the Secretary, MNC, recorded his remarks on Visitors’ Book followed by a group photograph.
