FOOD PRICES TO BE STABILIZED IN THE COMING MONTHS

The IMF Staff Mission called on the Minister for National Food Security & Research, Makhdum Khusru Bakhtyar in his office here today. Senior officials from the Ministry of NFS&R, Ministry of Finance and State Bank of Pakistan were also present during the meeting. The Minister informed that IMF Mission that the Government is taking all necessary measures for management of food inflation. The Mission was further apprised that a bumper wheat crop is expected this year and there will be no issue of wheat supply in the coming months.
