PR No. 201 Cultural Counselor of Embassy of China calls on Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada Islamabad: April 24, 2017.
Cultural Counselor of Embassy of China, Mr. You Yi called on Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada at his office here on Monday.
Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada welcomed the Chinese Cultural Counselor and said that both Pakistan and China are enjoying long-term brotherly relations.
Youth Exchange programme was discussed during the meeting. The Federal Minister apprised the Cultural Counselor of China that 100 Pakistani youth visited China last year under Youth Exchange programme. Now it is China’s term to send its youths to visit Pakistan, the Federal Minister said.
The Federal Minister said that China can also send its young players to Pakistan to hold competitions with Pakistani players especially in badminton and Table tennis.
Riaz Pirzada said that both China and Pakistan can jointly hold Chinese and Pakistani cultural programs at Pak-China Centre in Islamabad and National Academy of Performing Arts in Karachi to further boost cultural relations between the two countries.
Mr. You Yi termed it positive to hold cultural programs.
During the meeting Chinese Cultural Counselor told that China is going to organize Anti-doping Conference in China on May 23, 2017 and invited Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada to attend the Conference. The Federal Minister accepted the invitation.
The meeting of was also attended by Additional Secretary Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC) Tipu Mahabat Khan, Director General Pakistan Sports Board Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera and other officials of the Ministry.
