Ambassador (Retired) Lutfi Rauf, Deputy for Foreign Policy Coordination, Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Indonesia, along with his delegation visited Pakistan from 08-09 October 2019 for attending Pakistan-Indonesia Security Dialogue. Prior to the Dialogue, the visiting dignitary called on Secretary Defence in which both sides discussed matters of mutual interest covering scope of bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia. It was mutually agreed to strengthen, expand and diversify this cooperation through all available forums. The Security Dialogue took place on 8th Oct 2019; Ambassador Lutfi Rauf led the visiting delegation while Rear Admiral Mirza Foad Amin Baig, Additional Secretary Defence led the Pakistan side. Both sides reviewed the present status of their bilateral cooperation within the framework of the forum and exchanged views on a number of issues including Security, Counter Terrorism Financing, Countering Violent Extremism and Deradicalization, Maritime Security, Cyber Security, Intelligence Cooperation, Anti-Narcotics Cooperation, Measures against Human Trafficking and Defence Cooperation. Both sides expressed unanimity of views on major regional/international issues and reiterated their resolve to effectively use the forum of Security Dialogue to achieve mutually agreed targets. During his stay in Pakistan, Ambassador (Retd) Lutfi Rauf also called on Major General Muhammad Asim Malik, Vice Chief of General Staff in GHQ.
