In the two separate meetings today at Ministry of Defence Production Rawalpindi, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost and Vice Admiral Andreas KRAUSE Inspector of Geraman Navy called on Minister for Defence Production, Ms. Zobaida Jalal and discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly cooperation in the field of defence production. During the meeting with Iranian Ambassador Ms. Zobaida Jalal said that “Pakistan highly values its fraternal ties with Iran and considers it a close friend and neighbor. The two countries have cordial relations saying that “Our doors are open for all kind of support for Iran”. Mehdi Honardoost assured the Minister of his cooperation and said that Iran is keen to further strengthen relations with Pakistan, which are mutually beneficial to the people of both countries. He said that Iran intends to expand economic cooperation with Pakistan, along with increasing regional cooperation. In another meeting, Vice Admiral Andreas KRAUSE, Inspector of German Navy called on Ms. Zobaida Jalal, Federal Minister for Defence Production alongwith his delegation. Ms. Zobaida Jalal said that Pakistan has a tradition of defence relations with Germany. She also expressed that there is a great potential for further extending defence cooperation between the two countries. Minister highlighted that Pakistan desires that German Defence Industries may be encouraged to interact with our Defence Industries. ****** ?
