Envoys-designate of Japan, Apostolic Nunciature, Tajikistan, Cooperative Republic of Guyana, Burkina Faso, Republic of Benin, Republic of Congo and Republic of Slovenia presented their credentials to President Dr. Arif Alvi in an impressive credentials ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Friday. Later, the Ambassadors separately called on the President. Speaking on the occasion, The President said that Pakistan wants to further strengthen its relations with all friendly countries. The President emphasized that today’s Pakistan provides very conducive environment for better investment and business opportunities and hoped that investors from these countries will avail them by investing in diverse areas. He also emphasized that regular exchange of bilateral delegations is essential for strengthening people-to-people contact and forging strong political and economic linkages. The President felicitated the newly appointed Ambassadors to Pakistan and hoped that they would work for further strengthening the existing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan. The envoys who presented their credentials included Ambassador-designate of Japan Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, Ambassador-designate of Apostolic Nunciature Archbishop Christophe-Zakhia El-Kassis, Ambassador-designate of Tajikistan Mr. Ismatullo Nasredin, Ambassador-designate of Cooperative Republic of Guyana Mr. Bayney Karran, Ambassador-designate of Burkina Faso Mr. KONE Souleymane, Ambassador-designate of Republic of Benin Mr. Naim AKIBOU, Ambassador-designate of Republic of Congo Mr. Luc Joseph OKIO and Ambassador-designate of Republic of Slovenia Ms. Kristina Radej. Earlier, each envoy-designate arrived at the main gate of the Aiwan-e-Sadr in a horse-driven carriage. On the occasion, the National Anthem of Pakistan and their respective countries were played and the envoys designate were also presented Guard of Honour. ********
