Pakistani Community in Bahrain stood united in expressing its solidarity with a Stable, Progressive and Prosperous Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.  Speaking at a special ceremony organised to coincide with the Yaum-e-Takbeer which was attended by by hundreds of overseas Pakistanis based in Bahrain, Ambassador of Pakistan Javed Malik said that Pakistan is moving steadily towards economic progress and prosperity due to the prudent and dynamic policies of the government. He said that international rating agencies have not only upgraded Pakistan an emerging market, but also predicted that Pakistan will be one of the fastest growing economies in the next 10 years.  A special documentary about the achievements of the government was also shown to the audience based on facts and figures, says a press release received from Bahrain here today.

 

While appreciating the role of overseas Pakistanis, Ambassador Javed Malik thanked prominent community leader, Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhary for organising the impressive event which brought together Pakistanis from different walks of life living in Bahrain.  He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regards the Overseas Pakistanis as an asset for the country and every effort is made to ensure that they are given a due role in the nation building process. The Ambassador said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government has successfully tackled the major challenges facing the country and by the grace of God the law and order situation across Pakistan has improved tremendously, and meaningful steps have been taken to address the energy crises and the mega projects would soon be pumping electricity into the national grid by the year 2018 as promised the government.   He said that political stability is essential for growth and progress of any country, and it is therefore important that governments are given their tenure to deliver on the manifesto commitments, after which the electorate is fully empowered to choose their leaders. He said that Pakistan and Bahrain share a deep rooted relationship which has been further expanded in the last year with 7 high level visits from both sides in the last year. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is highly respected in the Gulf countries just like the rest of the world and Pakistan will continue to cooperate with all its friends and allies in promotion of peace and stability of the region.
