PR No. 97 Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to Launch Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES) for Marginilized Youth Islamabad: December 13, 2018

Mr. Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, held a meeting with Mr. Omar Hamid Khan, Secretary Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to develop Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES) for the marginalized segments of youth, especially the women, the disabled and the rural youth through Business Incubation for Self-Employment (BISE), and Direct cash (DC). Under the Business Incubation for Self-Employment (BISE) Model asset transfer along with skills training, business development support, and financial assistance through a credit revolving fund for business enhancement would be provided. Under Direct Cash Program, a lump sum grant will be provided for establishing small business set up, to those individuals who have the skills and related know. Mr. Muhammad Usman Dar appreciated the efforts of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) for supporting poverty alleviation in the country, and urged upon them to devise an effective poverty alleviation model for the youth of the country.
