PR No. 143 PAKISTAN GREATLY VALUES ITS RELATIONS WITH TUNISIA AND TUNISIAN BRETHREN: FAWAD Islamabad: November 26, 2018

Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting in a meeting with H.E Mr Adel Elarbi, Ambassador of Tunisia who called on him here today said that the Government and the people of Pakistan greatly value its relations with Tunisia and the Tunisian brethren. He said that Pakistan would like to further strengthen these ties as both countries are tied in strong bonds of friendship, steeped in history, culture, traditions, and common faith. Information Minister emphasised the need to enhance cultural cooperation which is vital to understand each other's values and traditions besides boosting people to people contacts. He said that PTI Government was keen towards Africa and consider Tunisia an important country with whom we have close bilateral linkages with similarity of views on regional and international issues. H. E.Mr Adel Elarbi said that Tunisia was gateway to Africa and offered lot of avenues of cooperation in diverse fields for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries. The Ambassador underscored the need to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries and sought Minister's cooperation to facilitate Tunisian traditional Music Band coming to Pakistan to demonstrate its performance in various cities. The Information Minister assured his full support and assistance in this connection. The Ambassador also appreciated PTI Government for according top priority to human development and reforming important sectors of health and education.
