President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic partners and Pakistan attaches the highest priority to its close relations with China. The President said this while talking to Ambassador of China to Pakistan Yao Jing who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Monday. Ambassador Yao Jing conveyed felicitations of Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Dr. Arif Alvi on assuming office. President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasized that Pakistan will closely coordinate with China on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. CPEC will play an important role in further cementing bilateral economic ties, he added. The President expressed the hope that the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China will further strengthen the strategic relationship between the two countries. *****
