Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madrassatul Islmad University Karachi, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh has called on Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari on Monday here in Islamabad. They discussed the possibility to introduce courses of Human Rights in the University. Dr. Mazari assured her full support in this regard and said that education is a foundation of character building and universities can undoubtedly, play a pivotal role in the formation of character building of students as well as in the development of our beloved nation. Shireen Mazari , Federal Minister for Human Rights further added that all out efforts are being made to ensure the provision of higher education facilities to the students on priority basis, education was the key to success, she added. On this occasion, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh apprised the Federal Minister for working progresses and ongoing projects for the betterment of students. A delegation led by Amina Masood Janjua, Chairperson Defence of HumanRights & Public Service Trust has called on the Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari here in Islamabad on Monday. Chairperson apprised the minister about the registered cases of missing traced, dead and release people. Talking to the delegation, Federal Minister shared that we are very concerned about this imperative issue and already working on enforced disappearances for the closure of this issue. She further expressed that we are determined to resolve this issue on our priority, closure of this issue is needed by all, she further added. Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari met with Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Punjab Ijaz Alam Augustine on Monday here in Islamabad. Both Ministers discussed the matters related to the human rights particularly in the province and how to extend the mutual cooperation to ensure the protection of rights of the people. On this occasion, Dr. Shireen Mazari said that Ministry of human rights is concerned with the fundamental right of every citizen of Pakistan and we are determined to ensure the protection of human rights of people and productive steps are being taken to fulfil this objective and we are firm and committed to extend our mutual efforts in this regard. They articulated their mutual cooperation to uplift the standards of people of Pakistan and to protect their rights.
