Prime Minister Imran Khan today chaired a briefing on Ministry of Railways at Prime Minister’s Office. Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Secretary/Chairman Railways Mr. Muhammad Javed Anwar and senior officers of the Ministry and Pakistan Railways were present during the meeting. Secretary Railways briefed the Prime Minister in detail about Pakistan Railways and various measures being taken for turn-around of the organization into a sustainable and profitable venture. He also apprised the Prime Minister about the issue of thousand of acres of encroached land of Pakistan Railways worth billions of rupees. The Prime Minister directed that a comprehensive plan for launching anti-encroachment drive and future utilization of railways land for generating revenues should be formulated and submitted within fifteen days.
