PR No. 85 Omar Ayub Khan Assumed the Charge of Energy Ministry Islamabad: September 11, 2018

Federal Minister for Energy Mr Omar Ayub Khan has assumed the charge of the Energy Ministry today. After taking oath in the President House, he reached his office at Power Division. He was welcomed by Secretary Power Division, Mr. Irfan Ali and Special Secretary, Power Division, Mr. Hassan Nasir Jami. The Minister on the occasion reiterated the government’s resolve to take concrete steps for strengthening the Power Sector. The PTI Government will take stock of the problems affecting the Power Sector and take concrete steps to address them. There are major issues affecting the Power Sector that need to be resolved. He called upon the senior officers and guided them to work as a team and contribute to streamline the problem ridden power sector of country. The Minister has started holding introductory briefings. *****
