Raga Boyz Band visited the Pakistan High Commission London on 16 May 2018. Raga Boyz, namely Nayab Ali Khan, Wali Khan and Inam Ali Khan are sons of famous classical singer Ustad Hamid Ali Khan and are currently on a UK tour. Among others, Khalid Mehmood MP and Afzal Khan MP accompanied the group. A detailed discussion took place on cultural projection, especially rich music of Pakistan, says a press release received from London here today. H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK commended their talent and passion to represent Pakistan in a positive light in the world. He termed them true ambassadors of Pakistan and assured the Band of High Commission’s full support in promoting their talent. The High Commissioner offered them to perform at the High Commission during their next trip to the UK, which they agreed to. At the High Commission, the Raga Boyz were also presented with a Parliamentary shield by Khalid Mehmood MP, Afzal Khan MP and the High Commissioner. The Raga Boyz belong to the famous “Patiyala Gharana” of the sub-continent and are the 9th generation of this family. They perform genres of music like pop, rock, Sufi music and classical fusion music. On this occasion, the Raga Boyz Band also presented a few songs and ghazals, and received huge applause from those present there. ***
