National Day of Azerbaijan celebrated here in Islamabad on Monday. Barrister Usman Ibrahim Federal Minister for Defence Production was the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Barrister Usman Ibrahim extended his felicitations to the ambassador and people of the Azerbaijan on this auspicious day. Federal Minister said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan have enjoyed close and cooperative relations. Barrister Usman Ibrahim said that Azerbaijan has witnessed remarkable progress and development during the last 26 years across a wide spectrum of economic, scientific, educational and socio-cultural areas. He also appreciated the positive contribution being made by Azerbaijan to regional peace, stability and economic development. Federal Minister said that Pakistan greatly values its friendly and cooperative ties with Azerbaijan, which have deep roots in common faith, cultural affinities, and shared traditions. Barrister Usman Ibrahim expressed that high-level exchanges between our two countries are a reflection of special brotherly ties between the two countries and the mutual respect we have for each other. On this occasion Barrister Usman Ibrahim cut the cake along with Ambassador of Azerbaijan and representatives of different countries based in the federal capital. *-*-*-*
