61st Board of Directors Meeting of Ignite – National Technology Fund (formerly National ICT R&D Fund), under the chairmanship of Anusha Rahman, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, reviewed the progress of ongoing projects of Ignite including working of Incubation centers. The board welcomed the newly appointed Chairman PTA, as a new director/member of the Ignite board of directors. Federal Minister IT Anusha Rahman, while appreciating the working of the Ignite board stated that it was a great privilege and matter of immense pleasure for her to work with such dedicated and highly capable people on the Ignite board. Due to the constant support of the Board, we were able to successfully roll out many key projects for youngsters such as DigiSkills & Establishment of Incubation Centers to train start ups. NIC Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar are already working successfully and Karachi Incubation Center is going to be inaugurated by tomorrow while NIC Quetta will be inaugurated by 30th May, 2018, which is a landmark achievement. She appreciated the efforts of Ignite in carrying out these key initiatives. She said that we have an ardent desire to have maximum significant visibility and presence of our young entrepreneurs at international fora. She further said that this NIC initiative is an important milestone in our journey towards the realization of a Digital Pakistan and showcased the continued efforts of public and private sectors in establishing Pakistan as a flagbearer of technology innovation. The Board appreciated the efforts of the Ignite company to comply with strict timelines for the execution of the DigiSkills Training program which will be formally ready to be launched in this month of May positively. Federal secretary IT, Aamir Ashraf Khawaja, CEO Ignite Yusuf Hussain, Member Telecom Mudassar Hussain, Member IT Syed Raza Shah, Member HR, Senior officials from the Ministry, and other board members also participated in the meeting. ***** ?
