"Pakistan is committed to Zero Hunger Challenge" said Sartaj Aziz Deputy Chairman Planning Commission in meeting with H.E David M. Beasley Executive Director of World Food Programme here in Planning Commission. "Ministry of National Food Security and Research established Zero Hunger Cell to coordinate national efforts and this goal also figures prominently in the Pakistan Government's Vision 2025" he added. Mr. Sartaj Aziz expressed appreciation for the work and dedication of World Food Programme personnel carrying out operational activities in the remote parts of Pakistan. He also appreciated the WFP's activities in Pakistan under the Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation (PRRO) 2013-2015 in the areas of Relief, Nutrition, Livelihood, Education and Capacity Building remained successful and the (PRRO) (2016-2018) proved beneficial in providing technical support in the areas of advocacy, policy development and capacity building. Mr. Aziz also expressed the hope that WFP's current program for Pakistan, Country Strategic Plan (CSP) will deliver on its promise of increased flexibility, transparency and responsiveness to beneficiaries. ***** ?
