PR No.14 “Green Pakistan Program planting 700 trees at D -Chowk under directions of Senate Standing Committee” Islamabad March 05, 2018

Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahidullah Khan planted a tree at D-Chowk at front of parliament lodges. “Plantation campaign started in month of February and we have organized various activities”, Federal minister for Climate Change. He further added the most successful activity that is going on is “Ghar Ghar Aik Shajar” in which volunteer students are going from door to door and distributing plants. In this regard they have covered 5000 homes in Islamabad already. Their target is to reach 10,000 homes in Islamabad. He further said that in Pakistan democracy and plantation both survive with great difficulty. This plantation was conducted on the instruction of senate standing committee held on 27th February, 2018.In standing committee, members demanded to plant trees at parliament lodges under Green Pakistan Program..700 plants will be planted at D-Chowk under the instructions .500 plants have already planted that includes chir and Pine. The event was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Romina Khursheed Alam , Mayor Islamabad Sheikh Anser ,Secretary Ministry of Climate Change Khizer Hayat ,officers of Green Pakistan Program and Ministry of Climate Change and media persons.
