Chairman National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) Justice (R) Ali Nawaz Chowhan has expressed deep sorrow and grief on the sudden demise of Muhtarma Asma Jehangir Sahiba. While addressing the NCHR employees, gathered to offer fateha for the departed soul of Ms.Asma Jehangir, Justice Chowhan showered praise on the valiant struggle of Ms.Asma Jehangir to uphold the rights of the weak, vulnerable and the marginalized people of our society and said that she will always be a role model for human rights activists to stand firm in the face of adversity. Justice Chowhan prayed that God may assuage the anguish of the bereaved family and of all her admirers.
