Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi today chaired a briefing on Pakistan Television Corporation at Prime Minister’s Office. Minister of State for Information Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb, Secretary Information and senior officers attended the meeting. Secretary Information gave a detailed presentation to the Prime Minister on the performance and financial outlook of various channels operating under the state media broadcaster. The Prime Minister directed that a comprehensive plan, including introduction of much needed administrative reforms, be worked out for the purpose of restructuring of the organization, bringing about qualitative change in the content, bringing back the viewership and rationalization of administrative as well as operative costs of various channels of PTV. ***
