Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmad Khokhar senior
advisor and Grievance commissioner for overseas Pakistanis has stated that in
pursuance of federal ombudsman, Mr Tahir Shabaz guidelines
instructions have been issued to Ministry of overseas and its all allied
departments to start working on Action plan for reintegration of returnees
migrants in Pakistan.
According to hafiz Ahsaan ahmad
Khokhar that thousands of overseas Pakistanis have been returned to home
especially from middle east and Saudi varab and it was felt that there was a
dire need that the concerned Federal Government Ministries and related agencies
urgently prepare a policy and an effective Action he further stated that it was
asked that Plan for Reintegration of Returning Pakistani Migrants to be made
and to submit it for the Government’s approval for its implementation.
He further stated that federal ombudsman
secretariat has asked the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human
Resource Development, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation and the Bureau of
Emigration & Overseas Employment for proposed following salient
features of the proposed ACTION PLAN and stressed to maintain regular
collection and update of returning migrants data, such as their occupation and
pre-migration and during-migration work experience.
He also said that appropriate guidance
and replies to all the queries of returning Pakistani workers related to their
re-integration in Pakistan be ensured alongwith provision of guidance on
investment and business opportunities for them in Pakistan.Report in this
regard has also been sought.
