Chairman, NAVTTC, Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema
today visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries. On this occasion,
he said that the three major industries in Sialkot are sports, leather and
surgical, in which thousands of skilled people are needed. We will meet all the
needs related to skilled workforce for the industry and ensure the supply of
trained youth to the industrial sector so that their industrial production and
quality is increased. Earlier, President of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce, Mr.
Zahid Latif, welcomed him and appreciated his services in the TVET sector.
Cheema said “NAVTTC wants to engage Industry in all important steps of
curriculum development, training, final examination and in employment of passed
out trainees.”
Executive
Director NAVTTC. Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema also visited the Sport Development
Center Sialkot and met with the trained youth. He also inspected their modern
football workshops. Khawaja Masood Ahmed, Dr. Khurram and other industrialists
associated with the sports industry were present on the occasion. Executive
Director said that football and volleyball industry has a big scope in our
country and our manufactured football and volleyball are exported in the world.
Hundreds of our skilled youth can get jobs in these industries, he added. He
directed the head of the institute to keep close contact with the industry and
to make changes in the curriculum according to the needs of the industry.
Later
Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema visited Sialkot’s Leather Institute and Surgical Training
Institute and also met with the relevant industrialists. He directed the head
of training institutes to bring the quality of training at par with the global
standards so that our skilled youth could compete in the international global
market.
