President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed satisfaction at the ongoing development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan and said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and development of Gwadar Port will lead to development and prosperity in Pakistan particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The President said this while talking to Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Tuesday.

The President felicitated Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan on assuming the office of Governor and hoped that Gilgit-Baltistan would achieve further progress and development in the future.

Governor Gilgit-Baltistan briefed the President about the overall situation in Gilgit-Baltistan particularly the ongoing development projects in the area. President Mamnoon Hussain stated that the government is according highest priority to carry out development in Gilgit-Baltistan for the welfare of the people.
